Preparing your ORGANISATION to engage an outsourced team
YOU’VE MADE THE DECISION TO OUTSOURCE, WHAT’S NEXT?
Upon researching and deciding on an outsourcing provider, you've made the decision to engage with an offshore team. The next step is to prepare your onshore team. Educating and communicating with your existing team is crucial.
DECIDE WHICH TASKS WILL BE OUTSOURCED WITH YOUR TEAM
Discuss and decide with your onshore team which tasks will be sent offshore. It's important for your team to understand the value of an offshore team. The goal is for your team to be able to use their time more effectively and efficiently by moving the process-driven tasks offshore.
Doing this allows your team to focus on the high-value tasks that assist in scaling your business. Once you and your team have decided on which tasks to send offshore, you should also discuss the type of person that would fit into your organisation's culture and values.
UPGRADING YOUR SOFTWARE
Now that you have decided on which tasks to outsource, you need to modify your technology to ensure your offshore team will be able to perform these tasks and communication is effective between both teams.
How will you communicate with your offshore team? How do you plan on managing workflows? How will you share files and documents?
Software you will most likely need:
-Cloud based CRM
-Project management tool
-Software for daily prioritisation
-Checklist-style set process
APPOINT A “POINT OF CONTACT”
Effective communication is important when engaging with an offshore team. To ensure this, we recommend appointing an onshore point of contact (POC). Your POC will act as a direct contact whom your offshore team will report to.
SELECT YOUR NEW TEAM MEMBERS
Set up an appointment with one of our Talent Managers (TM). It is recommended that the POC sits in on this.
Once interviews have been completed, undergo a selection process and narrow down the potential employees.
Select your new offshore team and introduce them to your onshore team members.
