Beepo is proud to announce that founders Aimee and Mark Engelmann have just been honoured with the prestigious Trailblazer award* at this year's Brisbane Young Entrepreneurs gala dinner held over the weekend.
CEO Aimee, along with Sales Director husband Mark, were worthy winners given the overwhelming success of their innovative outsourcing company Beepo, which opened its doors in April 2014.
Beepo recruits and trains dedicated staff for Australian small and medium businesses looking to augment their local operations with low-cost offshore talent. Working between Australia and the Philippines, Aimee and Mark have overseen the rapid growth of Beepo, a company whose service has enabled other Australian businesses to achieve sustainable success.
“We are extremely proud to accept this award and be recognised amongst such an amazing group of business leaders. It’s great to be at such an event and be inspired by the creative energy of some wonderful entrepreneurs. Thank you to Business News Australia and all the event sponsors”, Aimee said.
Aimee and Mark attribute their trailblazing success to the belief and passion they have for the company’s mission, “Beepo has genuine purpose - to help Australians grow their businesses and achieve success with their offshore teams. At the same time we are helping a developing country flourish, as we pay more than 7 times the minimum wage in the Philippines, and provide opportunities for professionals to grow their careers.”
All the signs point to further expansion for Beepo, and continued opportunity for Australian SMEs and Beepo’s staff. Since commencing operation in 2014 Beepo has grown to 200 employees. The business grew at a remarkable rate of over 3849% in 2014/15 and is on track for 267% revenue growth in 2015/16.
“Moving forward we plan to expand our team in Australia - now that we have Outsourcing Consultants based in SE Qld we’ll grow a team in Sydney and Melbourne. In the Philippines we have a new facility with space for 700 staff, and forecast to fill this by mid 2016. Staff retention and development will also be a key focus for our team in the Philippines as we are currently building a number of in-house training programs investing in long term career development”, Aimee explained.
On the back of this success Aimee will be undertaking a number of speaking engagements over the next six months to teach Australian businesses how to offshore successfully. If you are a business or business leadership organisation, and you would like Aimee to speak at an event please contact her via the details below.
*Trailblazer Award defn, from the Business News Australia website: A Trailblazer is a special breed in business, someone who seriously has their finger on the pulse and adapts their business by will; not by force. This honour recognises a business that has seen exponential growth in their business and scope in a very short period and one that the judging panel believes will make a big name for itself.
